Port of Seattle Biodiesel Workshop - 04/21/06

On April 20, 2006 Whole Energy was in attendance for the Port of Seattle Biodiesel Workshop.   The event featured many members of the Puget Sound Maritime Air Forum including the Northwest Clean Air Agency, Olympia Clean Air Agency, Pacific Merchant Shipping Association, Port of Anacortes, Port of Everett, Port of Seattle, Port of Tacoma, Puget Sound Clean Air Agency, Washington State Ferries, Western States Petroleum Association, and many others.
The purpose of this workshop was to educate and explore the many benefits of using biodiesel and how private and public companies can successfully implement biodiesel into their fleets. Whole Energy's CEO and President Atul Deshmane presented and discussed the Victoria Star Ferries, a successful pilot program and business partnership between Whole Energy and the Victoria Star Ferries.   Additionally, Atul discussed with the attendees the need for all biodiesel producers and distributors to ensure safety, reliability, and quality assurance into all biodiesel produced and handled.
